Just access the Long Exposure Noise Reduction setting in the menu and switch to OFF – its OK, because if you Photoshop, then most of the noise can be treated there. You have to consider where the lube will wick away to next time the camera gets warm. Then it worked fine.

I don't know what camera you have. I certainly want a reliable camera, and even though it is an entry-level camera, it still should function much longer than 4 months! A little dirt, a stray brush hair or the grease just plain drying out and the thing starts to drag instead of rotating around cleanly. Today after searching internet for possible problem/fix I read dpreview and Mr. Also i'm seeing the word "CHA". Do I format the memory card instead of deleting all images after a download?
