Nikon D40 Shutter Release Error


I'm having problems getting the base off the camera. There were two screws that stayed very tight ( the two right underneath the lens). I've never done this and there is a good chance to break the camera. It's been great for what it is. weblink

Or any other quick fix options? I would clean the wheel then spray some appropriate lube into the lid or a clean jar and apply it with a clean toothpick or screwdriver etc. it worked on a Nikon D60.
