Nikon D40 Shutter Button Error


The D40X camera is working again! Then the camera will resume taking shots for a few times and then lock up. Although, I am sure, looking at most forums, most of the time it is a case of fixing gear wheel in the body. Tried the gear mechanism repair and upgraded the firmware. I noted that the gear seems to turn quite easily (through several revolutions) for some mirror positions and but for other positions. I started having problems about 1 1/2 yrs ago. Just Question😦 I have this same shutter problem, but I accidentally pushed down what seems to be a stopper, and it didn't come back up?

It looks like you're new here. My uncle's D40x also had the same issue, but went away after he pulled the battery out and waited for a good 6 months for the internal circuits to discharge completely. finally i can say, this method works, u just need to persist with the problem and never put too much wd40. Or any other quick fix options? Remove and replace lens or put a different lens on camera. A pin has been dislodged in the flash compartment.

Yes,as Ive mention practice on other area first I used to get that every so often with the 18-135mm lens, I only needed to reattach the lens again to get it to work again. I have now added a warning to the blog to remind people that it could damage the camera even more.
