My solution to the problem was to clean all card and lens contacts with an eraser found on the end of a pencil. Yesterday, I pulled out a SD Card and card slot ripped off the top right section of the card… I'm sure there's something wrong in the actual slot but I'd much I will be contacting Nikon this week regarding this matter. I played around with different settings in menu but none of that helped. Then there was FAT12, FAT16, and FAT32. Reformatting the card may allow it to be used. She tried turning the camera off and removed the battery.
