Nikon D80 Flashing F Error

It was recommended that I get a canon sx700 hs? Then I removed them both and waited for about 20 minutes, put them back in place, I had the Err message for a few more seconds then eventually it cleared out After much stress, I found your recommendation, spent the $15 to buy the products and it worked! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!
