Nikon D90 Fee Error

Sounds like the aperture follower tab on the camera is stuck, or broken. Nikon Aperture Locking Switch An error message occurs. If your lens has a mechanical aperture ring, rotate the aperture to its smallest opening, or highestf-number - normally marked in orange. If the problem only occurs occasionally and intermittently, the lens pins and/ or camera contacts may be dirty.

My D1x had never before had this problem, and after some research (this page) I was busy cleaning the contacts on the camera and lens. I had looked at it before but was looking from wrong angle. After using it for a day , my camera wont actually shot (mirror just locked itself up) and say ‘Err' on the top screen. Nothing LOOKS wrong in the camera lens mount area.The communication is mechanical; the D7000 uses the lens' AI indexing ridge, the D90 uses the lens' EE-servo tab.
