Nikon D80 Digital Camera with 18-135mm Lens Lens Issue 18-55 lens works no problem, when I attach 55-200mm the viewfinder image is dark and the shutter won't fire, any ideas folks? I recycle the power off, I can shoot another single, then I get the code 99 again. It hasn?t been bumped or dropped or anything. Oh my goodness you do not blow with air yikes call Nikon\012they only can help now ... Nikon D80 Error R09 If it's not that, then take the lens off and put it back on incase it's a bad contact causing the problem. But there are limits. The r05 is not an error.

This is now happening with my other lens too. Also, it appears that openning or closing the lens cover is not always turning the camera on and off as it should. While in the M mode I couldn't adjust the aperture.
