I have the camera set to take single shots not continueous, so I wouldn't be able to take a "burst" of shots, Just one shot everytime I depress the shutter release Nikon D80 Manual Turned it back on and the message was gone but it still won't focus. If there camera is not taking an image though, there is something wrong so I'd take it to Nikon for them to have a look if I were you. Ya, I have my aperture control unit replaced not long ago. If I push release and try to take a photo again, this time it will take it, but after another 3 photos or so, the same problem occurs. That card should not be a problem, but since if the image sensor had failed or the shutter was bad, you would still get a saved black frame. Nikon Support charge battery and on again. They said it typically takes 10 working days to replace the aperture control, I told them they have to get it done by Thursday evening.
