It will not take an image, the code appears when depressing the shutter release. Nikon D50 R09 Error I have used the camera for the previous 3 years and shot several thousand photos with it without a single problem, so I am reluctant to dispose of it. All was well for 50 or so photos when for no reason the camera seemed to develop a fault. Nikon wouldn't say much except that it had to be taken apart and have the electricity discharged manually.

- R09 is not an error code!It represents the amount of pictures that can be saved on the file buffer in burst mode.
- For the other, Use fully charged battery , Turm ca,era on and re,ove battery while at same time holding shutter for a[[rox 3- seconds.

I checked the af switch, took the battery out, reset all my settings and nada :( Then after an hour of being pissed off, it works but still shows r09 when I tested your theory just seconds ago and yes you were right. A half-press of the shutter button not only activates focus but also displays shots remaining in the buffer (in your case, 9 remaining). Normally i would press down on the release button. I hope its helpful.

The problem is\015\0121- some dirt somehow got on the outside of the lense. I just cleaned them. The AF and exposure seems to work. Maybe it's time. I diddnt and herd the click and AF worked instantly. Currently, my F100 is also at Nikon.

Anyway, I changed lenses, removed battery, memory card, reset to factory settings (with qual +/-) I was able to get it working once by playing with the focusing featuring and then Youll have to reset the camera's clock if you do this.
