Thanks, John. I will try to clean up the contacts.Thanks for sharing!! Switched the camera to manual focus, clicked the shutter and camera is working fine. I can also use my D300s with any lens stopped down, but if I put the 24-70 on the D300s I get th "err" message.

I put in another card and seems to be working. Realistically, I don't expect a lot out of the camera after what it's been through. Run "dmesg | less" to find the device name of your card. Nikon D70 Cha Error I was ready to buy a new shutter! in auto just find no Err but after trying out A/ s priority I get this Err coming up most of the time. I don't know what causes the problem, although I am a firm believer in paying the absolute minimum for CF cards.

I was totally stumped with my flashing F EE, and searching through my D800 manual revealed nothing. have a peek at these guys I took camera in Nikon authorized service, and they fix it. So I just put it to the side before I got myself worked up. when half pressed the Err appears but when the shutter completes, the picture did not register w/ my sdcard. Nikon Error Codes
