Just to make sure because this camera is finicky about it. And how would a repair like this cost or is it even worth fixing? That one of my pet peeves with little digital cameras. - You have found that pressing harder on the CF card in the camera, or maybe a few insert/removes of the card will temporarily clear the error, sometimes for weeks!
- I've "repaired" it with wiggling the battery grip a bit more, or trying to turn it to the camera a bit more steady.
- There are 2 buttons on the D70 that say "Format".

I've searched high-and-low through the camera's setting to find a MANUAL FILE NUMBERING option, but can not find anything close.
