just the solution i was looking for. Finally I picked out the battery and this solved the problem. If you've cleaned the contacts and still have the problem, turn the dial to rapid fire continuous burst mode, point the camera at a bright light and hold down that button Shun is otherwise correct: with the camera set to AF-S, the shutter won't fire until the camera believes it has achieved focus.

Thanks Reply 28) JR February 14, 2013 at 1:10 pmWOH!!!!If you're a D600 owner, sit down before reading this :-(While playing around with the aforemetioned 28-105mm f3.5-4.5D I noticed that other Reply 27) JR February 14, 2013 at 11:36 amI've just mounted my old, but trusty, 28-105mm f3.5-4.5D on my D600 and I get the dreaded "ERR" but only when I shoot but I'm thinking to buy Nikkor 14-24mm or 16-35mm (Wide angle) for landscape pics. One is just a lot faster than the other.

  1. Reply 31) Pat April 11, 2013 at 4:26 pmI am having terrible problems with err message on my D200.
  2. AF-C selection ... >> Actually the D70 does have both.
  3. Fear not, your camera might not damaged and there might be no need to return it back to Nikon, as they suggest in most camera manuals. The reason why this error comes
  4. But since your camera can't guess what the shutter speed will be several shots from now, the "r" number is always a worst case estimate, assuming that every shot will require
  5. I cleaned the contacts on both lens and camera and the error persists.
  6. Clearly, the camera is the problem. It should be noted my D600 has never been dropped or damaged.
  7. I cannot remember if it happen when I switched on the camera or during a taking photos.
  8. One funny detail that added to the confusion: The two lenses that needed cleaning (AF-S 85/1.4 and 50/1.4G) worked well on my D7k even before they were cleaned.

Then the err symbol returns!any thoughts other than returning the lense once I return back to my city (in 2 months)?thanks Stevens Reply 15.1) Eric July 24, 2012 at 1:35 pmAny I heard and felt something ‘click' and the ERR message disappeared. Before I use to get this kinda Err however was resolved by cleaning lens connectors. Have a great weekend!Alessandro Reply 2) Dennis June 12, 2010 at 2:07 amThanks for sharing. I am soooooooooooo happy. http://www.dpchallenge.com/forum.php?action=read&FORUM_THREAD_ID=322430 I then searched and saw your post.

With this turned on and you are shooting at shutter speeds slower than one-half second, the camera will take two shots, one with the shutter open and the second with it Please try the request again. After much stress, I found your recommendation, spent the $15 to buy the products and it worked! Different camera models have space for different numbers of images in their buffer, but with a fast enough shutter speed you can fill up even the biggest.

Reply 54) nuwan October 5, 2015 at 1:09 amHi Nasim, Great Articles, very helpful. I was panicking a bit since we are leaving for a vacation next week and I am planning to spend much of it using a camera! Reply 22) Nebojsa November 22, 2012 at 7:56 amI had problem same with my D80, cleaning contacts didn't help. I changed lens countless times and even did free lensing and no more ERROR.

This type of error begins to occur very rarely, and its frequency increases, till it reaches a point where the error stays forever and your camera is unusable. http://windowsazure4j.org/nikon-d70/nikon-d70-chr-error.html Required fields are marked *CommentName * Email * Notify me of follow-up comments by email. nikonians Even though we ARE Nikon lovers,we are NOT affiliated with Nikon Corp. It's a little odd but once you know what it is you shouldn't have any problem working around it.
