Nikon D70 Format Error


Thanks for inspiring me to try to tackle this DIY. Then the CHA error comes up. i'm new. All I needed was one photo. http://windowsazure4j.org/nikon-d70/nikon-format-error.html

Some people (me included!) found partial success coating the pins with dielectric grease because it lubricated the pins, putting less mechanical stress on the bad solder joints with each card insert/remove.   • If you can't accomplish this because the camera will not read the card, I suspect you are in for the costly repair.

  • I still don't understand why I had the problem in the first place, but after further reading of this discussion thread even that may be explained.

Normally in a situation like this I would blow it off, but I'm not a big fan of shooting a ballgame or whatever only to find that some of the photos Mine is the DSCM 11000 1G manufactured by Hitachi Global for IBM.
