I think I am going to look into getting a new body only on a trade in of my Nikon D50. i'm going on tour tomorrow morning, and these purchases are dishearteningly inconvenient. Nikon D70 Format Card In Camera
SanDisk will not admit to the defect however, but I have seen it happen a lot on the 512 and the 1g cards. Out of 300 photos, 60 downloaded without a problem, the other 240 are not readable... You can run Linux off a bootable CD to do that. Can anyone tell me how to format a new card correctly?
- ond the camera it was writen FOR (as is it is when you press formating) but I am sure that I havent presed two buttons.
- Recently with a 4 GB Sandisk Ultra card, this operation has resulted in the lose of all previous pic.

Inspect the lens contacts for grease or dirt and wipe them clean with a lint free cloth. If this was happening to my PC, I would reformat the hard drive and reinstall the operating system. Does anyone else have this problem?
