What Does R12 Mean On Nikon

- It simply states that the buffer is working with the indicated number of pictures, in your case 12.
If the serial number is gone, I would be suspicious. That could either be a card or camera issue. I also can't see the pictures I'd taken before, the LCD screen doesn't show my pictures. For Christmas.
What it appears to be indicating in this instance though is that the images are getting to the buffer but are the camera is unable to write them to the card. Nikon D800 R12 Error
