If you have to do this repeatedly, then the memory is likely failing. Nikon D70 For Error
I've seen that a few sent their D70 off for repair and when it got back nothing really changed except they spent some cash and were without the camera for six This is what the connector looks like when closed: And here it is open: Set the back panel aside in a safe place. Sometimes it even says the card has to be formatted - which deletes ALL your photographs!
- After hitting each pin with the iron (for a 5 count) I looked for solder bridges or anything that may be connecting the pins electronically.
- But I just baught a Belkin media card reader today (USB one) and it seems to have fried my 4GB Apacer Handy Steno Pro III compact flash card.

Nikon D70 Card Reader Replacement I saved the images with Rescue Pro, reformated the cards in the camera and Belkin replaced the reader and everything seems back to normal. For me, this little problem has never risen beyond "mildly annoying," but I've never lost more than a few photos, never anything approaching 80% of my shots.
