I only found that out though when the pin fell out whilst I was abroad on a shoot! I am mystified by this and because I am still getting to know the camera and really enjoy using it so I was reluctant to let it be sent away for So here is a quick guide to what those codes generally mean, along with a couple of simple solutions to hopefully get you back up and running. I've got a little less than 20,000 shoots on this camera and have really only had it for 18 months or so I believe. For me, this little problem has never risen beyond "mildly annoying," but I've never lost more than a few photos, never anything approaching 80% of my shots. If the camera locks and you are unable to delete pictures off the card, just wait until the memory light quits blinking and then restart the device. - I also got a messege during some of these instances to format my card.
- Nothing changed.
- Just reseated the flash card.
- A corollary to this wait for Dark Framing - especially when bracketing - is that the timer timing the automatic focus can time-out, and a series of brackets might not complete.
- That's why it seems to me like the contacts in the camera are malfunctioning.
- I rarely use my camera for video, and then I only use it for a couple of minutes, but today I needed to record some presentations and didn't bring an audio
- This is totally unethical for a company like Nikon to offer us a replacement model and not even exert an effort to remedy the situation by recalling all D600s and replacing

When this happen the last time the camera put the pics in a DCIM folder that I could see on the computer and was able to retrieve the pics that way.
I have all three brands in my bag right now and haven't had problems with any of them. If you do, have a look at my D70 for sale in Nikon Land on Dgrin. I kept finding links that told me to format my card in camera so I tried and it kept saying formatting then "done", but this didn't help. The number next to the letter F is how far from maximum aperture the non CPU lens is - so F6 would mean 6 stops from max aperture.
