Nikon D50 Cha Error
I have experienced several different circumstances where the Nikon will throw a CHA or CHR error message. This time for good. the SD card works again. Did you find a solution?
Please note that the default disk format used in Windows XP is FAT32 and if a card is formatted with this setting on an XP system the D1 will report CHA. I suspect it's just a hardware problem. check these guys out Put my D300's Sandisk 4gb Extreme card in and hooked it to PC...seemed to work fine first time...then when I put card back into my D300 (no apparent issues re-inserting it), Nikon D50 Cha Error I also got a messege during some of these instances to format my card. All I'm asking is what is causing this if it isn't the cards. What is fat formatting and how does one do this? I'm using a D70s with a couple of SanDisk Ultra II CF cards in 1 GB and 512MB versions. Kluso Aug 11, 2008 Re: How is that possible?

The card was OK until I put it into the Dynex reader. I've seen d50s where the card reading mechanism fails which gives a similar error.
