I forced the lens in, and now when I turn the camera on it makes a buzzing and clickin sound, and what i see through the camera is very blurry. THANKS FOR THE SITE ANYWAY! The idea is that the camera will try to autofocus while the lens is extending, hopefully seating the lens barrel guide pins back into their slots. we've had it looked at but the camera ppl said it will cost more to fix it than it would be to buy a new camera. To fix this would involve having a camera shop take it apart to fix it.
