Nikon Coolpix S7c Lens Cover Error
The one that seems to work is forcing the lens until it clicks. I've never dropped the camera, the battery is fully charged, and i can't think of anything that could be wrong with it. For some reason though, my Exilim Z75 is doing something very strange. When I turn on the camera, I get a clicking sound, and then "Lens Error" appears on the screen. weblink
Many camera makers will not honor repairing this problem under warranty as they claim it is due to impact damage to the camera, or sand or debris getting into the lens Now that's a first. Nikon Coolpix Lens Error
I tried taking the whole thing apart to clean it but can't work out how to get the front cover off. The barrel would not go in, the lens opened halfway. I finally fixed it by holding the "OK" button and turning the camera on. If it's too costly to repair, and you have no other option, you might want to consider retrying the last too fixes (tapping the camera, and forcing the lens).

- I removed the entire case, front & back, by unscrewing 7 phillips screws ( note different threads on one screw, & different length on the R side.

When attempting to turn on, the camera buzzes. Using a tooth pick I ?eased? Gently pull it out and clean its end connections with a Q-tip dipped in alcohol. Then turning the camera on.
