Nikon Coolpix S610 Lens Error
I decided one day, that I wanted to use it to take some pictures. I've seen similar complaints about this camera from others. I can do nothing with the camera including shutting it off. I can not take any pictures. http://windowsazure4j.org/nikon-coolpix/nikon-coolpix-s610-lens-error-fix.html
If you hear this click, immediately stop and try the camera. I took the battery out, and put it back in and the power button lights up, and the light starts flashing, indicating it's charging. None of these methods involve opening the camera, although some have potential to cause other damage to the camera if excessively done. My camera doesn't have a rubber cover for the usb port, so, similar to the "tapping" method, I turned the camera so the lens was pointing down and smacked the bottom

- I guess it jammed, i picked up the camera and the lens looked like it was pushed in crooked.
- Like I said, it turns on, but the lens only extends a tiny bit, and then the lens error comes up and it quickly turns off.
- I mean, a loud zoom motor, or a �100 repair bill?
- My camera was filled with sand...somehow, and the lens had got stuck and wouldn't retract.

There are some DIY solutions you could try, but the \012probability is that you will have to get it fixed by a professional. ... The camera looks perfectly fine except for the lens cover.

Recommend closely looking at the lens barrel when it's extended. Like i've been working on sophisticated electro-mechanical systems for over half a century [AEROSPACE]. I used the fix posted to move the casings around (rotate, etc). ty... Panasonic FZ8... Will not move.
Thank you so much!! Any step-by-steps you can give? AND WHILE THIS PAGE WAS LOADING, I FORCED THE LENS IN. I never faced this issue with them if it's due to my careless handling.
The barrel would not go in, the lens opened halfway. my camera was like jamming when the lens tried to come out and saying lens error, so i tried forcing it out and ended up snapping the front of the lense Again, while doing any of the above, listen for a click that indicates that the lens barrel guide pins may have reseated in their guide slots. Any slight movement of the object makes the picture blurry. i have had the problem where the lens was half stuck out and i had the 3 beeps, i worryingly pushed the lens back into the camera. Thanks for the help. With Samsung's release of the Galaxy S4 Zoom, I'm really curious to see if this will also be a issue/problem with this camera phone (and other phones with optical zoom).
Finding the tips on this page I tried pulling on the lens as I turned on the camera. Regards. Miraculous results, it worked and continues to work!
