The LENS on the CoolPix S6 does not move in or out, just the lens cover moves to reveal the lens. I didn't think it would. Use very little of this. Please upload a file larger than 100x100 pixels We are experiencing some problems, please try again.
Sorry to say that only about half of the lens errors can be corrected by these methods. Buy a broken camera on EBay, but choose one that still will have the working parts that you need. I guess I tapped hard enough to break something inside, it looks like a small bulb that is also now white... The lens doesn't fully close or open. Camera works great but lens cover won't close-at first it would close halfway, but now nothing. At least now i don't have to buy a new camera.
- This along with Fix #1c and #2 sometimes work for lens errors that occur from batteries wearing down while the lens was extended.
- When you looked at it the lens "hole" was sideways and it would not retract completely inside the camera.
- Nikon COOLPIX L18 Digital Camera My camera worked fine one day, then it was in my purse.
- See if Nikon will honor warranty without a receipt.

I use a PowerShot SD600 at work everyday too. Recommend closely looking at the lens barrel when it's extended. Unfortunately, this usually costs more than the average camera is worth. I have a Sony Cybershot DSC-W5. One possible thing may be that the battery has worn down through non-use, and can no longer holding a sufficient charge. But if they quote you a number that's higher than the value of your camera, you may want to consider the following methods.
