My wife is pretty upset at me for dropping her camera. Nikon Coolpix Factory Reset I used the fix posted to move the casings around (rotate, etc). With new battery in, I grasped the lens between thumb and forefinger and twisted slightly clockwise as I turned the camera on. but nothing has worked.

now everytine i start the camera it flashes lens error and turns of my camera. Or the camera has been powered on, but the lens had been blocked preventing its extension. I tried all the steps. Most broken ones on ebay seem to also have lens errors, thus could not find a replacement part.

Out of desperation and abandoned by Canon, I decided to fix the thing myself. The LCD display sucks up a lot of power, so by not having the LCD display turn on, more battery power will be available to help power up the lens. Loading... It extends fully.
