Nikon Coolpix Camera Repair Lens Error
I went down the list of fixes - and #6 worked!! (Banging it around a bit). Wish that I could give you some easy tips for fixing the error by opening the camera, but I'm afraid there is none. I am so excited! I have a Nikon Coolpix S7c. weblink
I went from error 114,1,0,0 to 115,1,0,0 to 122,1,0,0 (lens would not retract any more!) Your recommendation gave me the confidense and the determination (since i really had nothing to lose If the camera is still under warranty, before trying any of these, please please first contact your camera's maker to see if they'll cover the repair, or to determine how much the motor is loud though, i then polished and oiled the zoom lens cases. Nikon Coolpix Lens Stuck
oh my goodness...thank you so much for the poost! charlotte,Lens errors, especially from falls are very common. Not sure what caused the jam, but it has been dropped on concrete before, and dropped on the beach, which couldn't have been to good for it. I mean, a loud zoom motor, or a �100 repair bill?

- With the lens pointed down, try "gently" tapping around the lens barrels with a small item such as a pen or pencil.

I have a Casio Exilim EX-z77 and I brought it with me to the beach this weekend. Can you please suggest which camera would be a good choice. When I turned it on again I aimed toward the ceiling and snapped a picture really fast and it was fixed! I dropped my Nikon Coolpix P2 while it was on, and got the dreaded Lens Error. Nikon Coolpix Factory Reset Instead, would recommend repeated cleaning's with compressed air around the lens, and also in any openings of the camera (memory card slot, battery door, etc.). However, the lens seemed to go in and out OK when I'd try to turn it on. This is probably not a lens error, because other things are wrong other than the lens. Try to force the lens to move using a hand.
