Maybe the rest of you should do what you can to put the word out there. I read through this read and found that people can only use nikon 5700 for around +- 2yrs until the "lens error" occurs. I owned CP2000 for over 3 years with no problem (fed it enough daily diet of AA batteries and it's happy). I overcame the dreaded "LENS ERROR" (see Dec 28th post)... It took over 8 months to repair my 5700, guess what? If you have any questions, please contact the site administrator.

I continued to take pictures w/out the screen working and uploaded them. I took pictures with it and now the memory card says it is Write Protected and want let me take any more pictures. Sounds like a massive scandal by them and it needs publising in the camera - trade press. Nikon Coolpix 4600 Digital Camera I have a nikon n75 camera and just recently it started not wanting to take pictures. I don't think changing to canon is an option. I took it out and started to look at photos when the screen turned white with gray lines. check over here Compared to the expense of setting up the experiment and the lost data, the cost of the 2 cameras is trivial.
