I bought my camera in Copenhagen a while back and soon after I got a "Hot Pixel" in the middle of the picture. My three (3 !!) days old 3700 already got its lens error 30 minutes ago. Had "lense error" 1 month ago. I'd like to know what I'm in for. If that doesn't do it, you'll need to get the camera serviced.

Well I can buy a new one for that. I accidentally turned my 5700 on while it was in the case. Now I know some Photo.net genius will probably come up with something like "well it can never be something simple" or something like that. i send my camera to nikon now and i wait.

Put in and out de battery and after a minute or five it started operating again. Was looking at a true digital SLR as the replacement to the 5700. one was about a year old, the other fresh out of the box - might even have been the first picture ever taken with the camera. Has worked pretty good until now.

Guess compaired to some I'm lucky as turning off and back on again fixed it. Mine apparently happened when I left the battery in and put the camera in a bag, and the power button got turned on, causing the lens to try to extend but
