Java.sql.sqlexception: Network Error Ioexception: Connection Reset

It can be server hardware, infrastructure hardware, DNS, and a host of other problems, but it is rarely a problem with SQL Server even though that is where the symptom appears. Is there some other way to test if SQLServer can be connected to? I also confirmed that the authorization is sql server and windows auth. Does an accidental apply to all octaves?

  • SQL Server is not configured to use TCP/IP.
  • Anything else you can think of?
  • The server is on the same machine.
  • Applies to: ManageEngine Applications Manager 9, Hyper-V, SQL Server 2008 SP1 CU4.
