Found it at C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft\PlayReady\ I had tried doing a file search for mspr.hds, but it was a hidden file on my system so wasn't found in default have a peek here
Posted by: Dup | November 09, 2010 at 06:46 PM down... It worked for me. this happens to me every time i watch ondemand during peak prime time hours, on both my tv and internet. I shall repost verbatim what Chris posted Chris Says: January 23rd, 2011 at 3:18 pm You don’t need to install or uninstall anything. check that
Jason I renamed "mspr.hds". thanks much ! Please check your internet connection and try again" (When it's their fault not mine!) Good thing I found this question!
It's really annoying that netflix says "An internet or home network connection is preventing playback. which was kinda less tech and more support. I waited 1 hour in line, and when I finally got to the desk the lady there told me that I wasn't supposed to get ANY on demand channels at all. Please check your Internet connection and try again later.
Mark it as an accepted solution!I am not a Comcast employee. robinhood1995 For the non techies… go to controle panel and uninstall silverlight 4.0.x.x ( if not sure uninstall all silverlights versions )then click on the above link that the poster did the install for the other thing (version 3) did not work for me, but mspr worked like a charm. Now when I tried using it crash my Silverlight was 4.x after contacting Netflix I was told to get latest which is 5.x still crashing they ask me to contact MS
We are, but slightly as in a couple of days, so I'm going to pay the small, slightly overdue amount now and see if that magically corrects the issue and then Windows XP. gonzajg commented Nov 4, 2014 Thank you opuneet! I suppose the quality of the help department reflects the amount you're paying - ya don't get much for only $8 thesedays.
Kristofer Brozio Well I don't know about that.. Not to mention he didn’t tell me one single thing about the new systems. Close all browser windows 2. To uninstall the Silverlight plug-in: Windows 8 Quit all open browsers - including this window!
If i select Try Again, the screen flashes back to regular TV and does nothing. navigate here Jean Though this is something of a necropost, I want to include an answer here for anyone who encounters "internet connection problem error code N8156-6018" trying to use Netflix streaming on Now since this is a show that's not going to be available for long how are you going to "credit" me for this problem. Click on the Start Button Select Control Panel Select Add or Remove Programs Locate and select Microsoft Silverlight Click Remove To install the latest version of the Silverlight plug-in: Navigate to
- This has worked to fix this problem every time I have had it.
- Netflix blames Microsoft, and Microsoft in turn blames Netflix.
- even when they're up, performance has been lacking...
- I just went to the Netflix website and subscribed again with the same credentials.
- Netflix was able to stream without doing anything else.
- Thank you to DrunkSno...
- I've tried all above and nothing works for me.
- Thank you!
- Melissa THANK YOU!
It now works perfectly, and there is a new mspr.hds file in that folder. Posted by: Nat | November 09, 2010 at 06:19 PM It was a problem my Roku for a minute, but now it has been fine for 15 minutes. Long story but half the stuff he installed didn’t work and it took a month to straighten it out. Check This Out Reinstalling Silverlight4 did not help but your SL3 trick did work after I restarted Chrome.
Uninstalled SL4, put back to SL3, renamed the mspr file, then tried deleting it instead, tried firefox, tried IE, tried chrome. Thank you. wohoo!!
NikNik Another Mac user here with 10.6.6 and deleting the PlayReady folder worked for me…. I upgraded in order to subscribe to Japanese TV programming (that has issues of its own I won't go into here) But I immediately started having the SRM-8001 error. I swear some people just jump to conclusions and just look for random ways to blame someone else. 0 Kudos Posted by stumegan 05-08-2014 11:10 AM Contributor View All Member Since: TRUE Try synchronizing your computer time and day with the internet time.
started up wmc, netflix said configuring video player, working. Here’s where that file is: HD > Library > Application Support > Microsoft > PlayReady > mspr.hds Quit the browser, delete the file, relaunch the browser Crash3D59 In Win7 64 bit I'm on W7Ultimate 32bit. this contact form Lastly, I just wrote a $172 check this month to Comcast which includes additional charges for OnDemand and the premium channel that I attempted to watch last night (and several weeks

That dog is the best lol) and rename mspr.hds to mspr.old. Why?
Thanks David Excellent info! Refreshing did nothing so I cleared the cache and reinstalled Silverlight. Netflix works perfectly 24/7/365, year in and year out. almost as much as i love ian mcshane.
Micah On OSX Snow Leopard and the file rename fix worked. There will be improvements to pipelining in the near future. Just remember after you delete it, it may take 10-20 seconds before Netflix player starts the movie because it first has to recreate the mspr file. You just need to add a dummy TokenMapSupplier implementation to the config object for Dyno that uses information about your dynomite servers along with their tokens.
THANKS!!! I was thinking it was a billing department restriction, but was told no. I said "I'm getting the error from WITHIN on demand, of course I have access to on demand" She told me that I absolutely should not have any on demand channels, If you have other OS, call Netflix.
