Nikon D800 Card Error
Some CF cards currently being used in Nikon's own D3 might not work in the D800. and when I got it , formatted "easily" on the D700.Have never had any problems for the two years with the cards. Format Card (In Camera), shoot 40 frames, Format Card(In Camera), and no problems. I work with digital cameras since 2003 and so far I had 8 Lexar, 1 Sandisk and 2 Transcend cards die on me. And no, none of the cards were full. To assure compatibility, please use one of the following media cards with your Nikon D800.

Responses 1 | 2 Next Last Shun Cheung , Feb 04, 2013; 12:20 p.m. This is a sign of Future trouble.Had this happen with a New (just lowered price) SanDisk Extreme PRO 16gb CF. I have a casio ZR100 with HD 1080p video and i can save hours of HD video to the SD card (133x Lexar) without any issues.

Some of them being really cheapies bought from Ebay. Photographer Dawn Kubie gives seven good reasons to pull out your point-and-shoot... Just throwing it out there, but Kingston is a memory producer (one of the largest in the world actually), not an "off brand" card. Nikon Memory Card Error What do I do?

The [For] indicator blinks when the card (which is factory formatted with ExFAT) is inserted and when formatting in the D800E is attempted through the D800E menu absolutely nothing happens. check my site I know they have a better warranty on the faster and bigger memory cards.I would be interested in hearing what they say about your issue. The third PC I tried showed the same as the first two, I.e. 2012 admin Thanks guys, Adrian's issue sounds like it's something entirely different to the issue where they're not working at all.
Couple of things that can contribute to issues like these are generic batteries, an unseated lens where the contacts do not make a firm connection, a button that is sticky or Could it be a camera issue? First I got a card that could not read all the images. To get the most out of Flickr please upgrade to the latest version of Chrome, Safari, Firefox, or Internet Explorer. I also checked if there were any different files on the card, but that was not the case. I will preciate your answer.
Same message. I'm a 30+ year pro and for 20 years used Hassleblad and Bronica 6x6 and 6x7 cameras and the clunk from the D800 is almost as bad. SDHC cards work fine. I use the Sandisk Extreme Pro cards on the D800 and D700.
and "again" would not format.Never happened to be before, but I just flipped CF cards ... When they were used with D800, I got 2 "end of file" error in LR 4 over ~50 twice (indicating possible corrupted files) and happened on "BOTH" cards. However. Thanks for your response.
On the D800 they are VERY slow because of the file sizes, but fortunately the buffer is good. Who knows, it could have been something that was on the SD card, which when you put it into the camera caused the issue, then when the card was removed and Seems odd that I can't use the cards that are fine in my D700. It's why those little air cans with compressed air exist, or alternatively the little rubber blowers to get dust and stuff off lenses.
A little pricey but I think it is all worth it especially when recording a video. Credit @haroldp for saying it first. Before resorting to microscope and open heart surgery on the chip it's worth trying it for a day or two in different computers to see if the micro environment in the Any one else the same?
