In almost all cases that I have personaly witness when some one had a problem with any brand of flash memory card, it was because the person was using poor card I can't format the card with the camera, as it doesn't even acknowledge the card is present. No corrupt file, no skipped file number, but the camera went through all the usual motions of taking a shot - Shutter went off, flash where appropriate.

  • I'll call them to see if they have a P500 and then try the card in that camera.
  • I consulted the d7000 manual.
  • You can find them online or if you visit a camera store they will either be able to do the work for you or be able to put you in touch
  • I can only guess what might have happened.
  • Is unevaluated division by 0 undefined behavior?
  • I'm with the others that prefer more smaller cards rather than 1 big one.
  • Can it be fixed?

Inserting and removing the SD cards could have removed some of the oxidization so that the connection is good now. They've been working beautifully together all weekend, now the camera suddenly won't recognise the card. -E- shows permanently on the display. You do not even get a chance to go to the menu to do a format. Please respond, just confused and trying to figure out the best solution. Or was it just a one off in your case? Often the device will then allow you to delete images and resolve the error. I managed to get them out (I think, never did find the debris) with long tweezers. How to explain the existance of just one religion?

Also, I'm not sure if it's a related issue (card seating, etc.) but several photos taken over the weekend were not saved.

I would suggest removing the cards and looking closely with a flashlight to see if you can spot anything that doesn't look exactly right with one of the contacts. I have a Canon 60D and can get 260+/- Raw images on a 8GB card. You can take one additional step by executing a system reset which will set all use functions and values back to factory defaults. How many decidable decision problems are there?

And I also know that it's brand new. Just got a D7000 & 55-300 lens.
