I couldn't believe it I fixed my camera. Nikon Coolpix 4300 Digital Camera I have a Nikon CoolPix S8000. Or the camera has been powered on, but the lens had been blocked preventing its extension. This Memory Card Cannot Be Used Nikon D3300 when it wants to extend but it cant do so, i fix it by patiently pulling on the lens.

Finally, I'm curious just how many people actually read this far down into this article. When the card is inserted all I get is "memory card error- please check the card". SD and SDHC cards fit the same slots, but many cameras won't work with the SDHC (high capacity) cards. If it doesn't, the card is locked or not completely pushed in and locked in place (not the same as having the slider locked on the card itself).

I got the camera shipped from the U.S so even warranty won't work. Either way, it may be a costly repair, as this type of damage is not covered under warranty.

I was holding my Exlim Casio z70 at chest height and it slipped out of my fingers onto the kitchen floor. Unfortunately, this usually costs more than the average camera is worth. Instead, would recommend repeated cleaning's with compressed air around the lens, and also in any openings of the camera (memory card slot, battery door, etc.). FYI, card is NOT locked!
