Nikon L14 Lens Error

I also tried turning the camera on and holding down the shutter button but that did nothing. i just put in the cord again and this time it worked! Or the camera's been dropped with the lens extended.

  • Much better than paying someone to "fix" it...
  • It is possible that you get the lens error because your lens is of the track or otherwise stuck.
  • The logo is showing up dark as much of the battery power is likely going to the lens motor trying to overcome the sand.

when it wants to extend but it cant do so, i fix it by patiently pulling on the lens. however i fixed it by taking it apart, the top cover thingy, and then pushing the lens back down into place. While doing these, listen for a click that indicates that the lens barrel guide pins have reseated in their guide slots. this content the screen displays 'zoom error'.

When I turn it on, the zoom goes in & out, then the lens closes down & I get the error message on my digital screen. I have a casio exz75. It does give a f solution that yo could try first. You need one of these so the lens does not hit the screw on lens when it extends.

After replacing the battery and powering the camera back on it seems to work fine. We knew that there wasn't much we could do to hurt the camera, since if our attempts failed, the camera was toast anyway. This will not work if the camera has been dropped & the zoom apparatus is bent. The one that seems to work is forcing the lens until it clicks.
