Nikon E3700 Lens Error
I have paid 312EUR (400$) to the Nikon Repair Centre in Spain (Finicon) in order to fix the Coolpix 5700 lens error. http://www.dcresource.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3810&page=1&pp=10 Same problem on 2 days old canon sd300 ? Heard about this fix from somewhere on the net. I have owned Minlota's, Pentex, Sony, and Canon camera's and not one time did I ever had to repair them and I only paid $500.00 for the Camera. Stupid thing accidentally turned on when putting it in the NIKON approved case. Got it back yesterday with a cryptic invoice from Svc people.

I have never dropped the camera so I have no idea why I had a lens error (maybe from non-use?).

Variations to Fix #7b include gently pulling, rotating, and/or twisting the lens barrel while hitting the power button. Suddenly on Oct 27th when the camera button 'on/off ' was pressed the lens came out and went back.
