Nikon Coolpix 3700 Lens Error
I regret not doing this while on vacation because taking pictures was a real pain when the camera was busted. Any ideas why it is that way? So I used the "Press gently on the lens" fix. Do you know of anyone else with a similar camera that you may borrow their battery to try with your camera? weblink

The 5700 lasted for a few weeks past 2 years. I first tried to fix the issue myselves. After replacing the battery and powering the camera back on it seems to work fine. Posted by: Tom at November 24, 2003 8:44 PM 2: Also, got a lens error today on this 60-day old camera.
I did everything up to the tapping step, which worked, however, when the lens finally opened I had no picture, it was just white.
