In another case, this Event ID appeared on a Windows 2003 SP1 domain controller each time a Windows XP SP2 computer was started. I have even tested setting the "disabling the changing of machine account passwords" policy and rejoining to the domain. The reason is you are able to login is cached credentials & even you unplug the network cable still you can login due to cached credentials during first login.
