I did not know about the cleaning the camera-lens contacts technique. I somehow managed to work for 10 Pictures but then the same happened again. My problem was I took my Nikon D200 out of its case after not using it for several years. Did it again, worked, got stuck again, to the point we were carrying around with us a small screwdriver so we could fix it on the spot! weblink

I can also use my D300s with any lens stopped down, but if I put the 24-70 on the D300s I get th "err" message. - Tried to remove the battery, still the same message and the camera did not responded at all.
- An r40 means there are approximately 40 frames that can be shot in continuous release mode before it has to wait until writes to flash are complete.
- I detached the lens and reattached it.
- I believe the ERR message is either an overheated sensor (which is not mine since I don't use my D600 for video) or a faulty shutter mechanism.

F0 Not so much an error code, but if you see F0 on your display it means the lens hasn't been twisted all the way and locked in place. I gently pulled it down and broke free. The solution is to set the lens aperture to the largest f-number (minimum aperture) such as f/16 and lock it in place so that the aperture ring does not accidentally get Shut it off and put the kit lens on.
