My Err trouble was gone.I guess this issue stemmed from my bad habit of not turning the camera off before I removed the lens. So, the 50mm is the problem not the camera . But it can potentially mean anything from dirty contacts, so the lens and camera cannot communicate properly, to a shutter malfunction. After it happened I googled "F-- error" and lots of people are having this problem.

Hope that makes more sense and sorry for the confusing reply before!!TimHMMMM, I may not understand what you mean by "buffer" . So I removed my lens from the camera (Nikon D600), on the left side of the camera was a spring loadef metal lever. If the lens is a non-CPU lens it will only work in manual (see page 230 of your manual).
