Try another lens and see what happens. BUT………the overexposure was only happening at f8 or smaller f-stops! check over here
Same error message appears. Before I depress the shutter release the camera shows I have 296 images remaining on the memory card. I emmidiately felt hope coming back to me. I just upgraded on Friday to a D7000 from D5000. https://www.dpreview.com/forums/thread/3089563
Nikon R10 Code
Just place the camera body on a firm, hard surface and strike it full force. If I focus the shot in manual the switch it back to auto it will act like its trying to focus then stop waayyy out of focus. Any ideas? Yesterday it happened again, after I changed lenses.

I have spent three hundred and thirty pounds getting it repaired with Nikon but alas one week after it was returned, the err message reappeared. I also experience the situation where none of my buttons on the back of my camera (D7100), I can "activate" LiveView, and am still able to fire the shutter.
