I just cleaned the contacts and everything works fine. I've tested three other lenses: 16-35 f4, 80-200 f2.8 and 50mm f1.4 and they all function fine and all apertures. The last time I used the 28-105mm it worked fine and I http://photo.net/digital-camera-forum/00FWmf
Err Nikon D80
I cannot begin to express just HOW relieved that I am, for having my camera back up and running. : D : D Also as to how GREATFUL that I am, I would explain more, but I have two basketball games to shoot with this ailing camera in about 45 minutes so I gotta run. Reply 27) JR February 14, 2013 at 11:36 amI've just mounted my old, but trusty, 28-105mm f3.5-4.5D on my D600 and I get the dreaded "ERR" but only when I shoot I just want to know what the deal is with this.
- I have had this issue on more than one occation and to me, once is too many.
- When I removed the lens, I noticed that the mirror was stuck halfway, so that the viewfinder would display only half of the scene.
- I have tried putting on the lense of my camera and it turned out to be an error, because the sensor was not properly in contact with the cameras sensor.
- I also got a messege during some of these instances to format my card.
- Just out of curiousity why did you switch from the 350D to the D70?
- What's New?

- pls help before i went to costly nikon service center.
- I hope this helps because I know how it's like to have an awesome camera and not work specially if you have an assignment coming up.
It just popped up with the CHA and I couldn't get rid of it. December 16, 2013 at 4:48 PM Anonymous said... Buying a whole new camera because of this? Try another lens and see what happens.
Thank you so much! This isn't GOOD... That makes me qualified in my books. :-) Well it was fun, but I didn't learn much apart from what the inside of a D70s looks like. read review I would say that it wouldn't bother me otherwise but knowing I lost five or more photos I really liked, it irks me.
Thanks, Jeff Quote: Originally Posted by BRATCH Here's the deal. I read on a forum recently about a pro sports tog who had a D3 and a 400mm which gave an ERR code when combined together. Same error message appears. Any ideas?

I usually will do it 15-20 times before shooting, but that's a little ridiculous. https://www.ifixit.com/Answers/View/38061/repair+the+shutter+with+%22err%22+in+display but I'm thinking to buy Nikkor 14-24mm or 16-35mm (Wide angle) for landscape pics. Great, goy my D70 working again! I don't know what causes the problem, although I am a firm believer in paying the absolute minimum for CF cards. c'mon really? this content when i go to take a picture im getting the message "Full r00″ i've tighten the lense thinking this was the problem, but i am still getting the same message come
I am quite careful with it it's just it's used underwater in a housing and travelling on a RIB isn't good for anyone. either a card needs formatting or its a bad card digger2 View Public Profile Send a private message to digger2 Find More Posts by digger2 Jan-02-2011, 12:23 AM #20 Lumo Beginner This has occurred with several lenses.
I had counted my D70 for dead and am in the process of purchasing a D200 to replace the D70.
I kept finding links that told me to format my card in camera so I tried and it kept saying formatting then "done", but this didn't help. Maybe as it wears it requires less of an impact, and firing the shutter may even be enough to get it stuck. Reply 14) Marco March 21, 2012 at 3:04 amMy "Err" message started to show on a D3s after the camera has been at Nikon for cleaning etc. Now it's fixed !
I reallly appreciate the forum because it let me know I wasn't alone out here and others were having the same issue. It could be a communication problem between camera and lens in which case try cleaning the contacts. Now after a couple of months the same error appears and the service center is suggesting that the Shutter unit has to be replaced. have a peek at these guys Page 1 of 2 12 Last Jump to page: Results 1 to 10 of 12 Thread: Nikon D70 Error message "E r r" Thread Tools Show Printable Version Search Thread
They seem to occur with older more heavily used CF cards, with newer CF cards didn't seem to have the problem. Like all the others, you saved my D70s. September 10, 2011 at 8:05 PM Anonymous said... Yep… BINGO!!
That worked and so easy.OMG that saved me some money. I still get the r09 when depressing the release.Richard PetersTim, my apologies for confusing you. Thank you!! I've been nudging at them for an hour, and my shutter is still just as stuck as before!
