Two of the bodies and both lenses have been sent to Nikon for servicing, and they couldn't replicate the problem. Yesterday, I pulled out a SD Card and card slot ripped off the top right section of the card… I'm sure there's something wrong in the actual slot but I'd much I set camera to normal mode (not B/W), I even put a fresh charged battery in, and I have a disk in that I know is formatted and works fine. About a year ago, they started noticing an "ERR" message using this lens/camera combination. I have had the message twice. Second, the camera could not capture the image using your manual exposure settings; try changing the settings or using automatic settings.
