I had always used older, AI manual focus lenses, with the metering set to center-weighted.

On taking one or two frames everything was fine then the next couple were completely overexposed (no change to the settings) and were washed out. Also i'm seeing the word "CHA". If you have the lens mounted, make sure that the lens is properly attached and locked. If I choose, say f4 at x shutter speed, the exposure is DEAD on accurate with all of the lenses; including the one that throws the "ERR" error.When I press the Any suggestions? I just experienced the same thing with my d750….battery was low on my last photos; I took out the battery and recharged it; when I put the battery back in the Nikon 55-200 VR lens blur and sharp at same distance from camera problem. Then the problem started a couple of years ago. The f-stop does not seem to matter.
